In Patient Services

Physical and Occupational Therapists providing comprehensive services 7 days a week.  Speech therapy is also available as a vital component of the rehabilitation team.

Consultation with physicians, hospital discharge planners, nursing staff, and other health care providers to establish a Rehabilitation plan

Aquatic therapy is held at our beautiful Red Barn

Team meetings between therapists and other patient care staff members to track individual patient/resident progress

Our Safe at Home Functional Assessment Clinic offers practical information on an individual's cognitive and physical ability to adequately care for him/herself. The assessment is completed by a Physical Therapist and an Occupational Therapist with extensive training and experience with elders. Also available are the resources of a pharmacist and Social Services Professional.

Physical Therapy

  • Neurological rehabilitation for CVA (stroke), head injury and Parkinson's Disease
  • Strengthening after surgery, illness or change in disease progression
  • Wound care, amputee rehabilitation and prosthetic training

Speech Therapy

  • Disorders of voice, speech/language and swallow intake issues in both adults and children
  • Assessment of patient ability to regain swallowing function following CVA (stroke); including Vital Stimulation Therapy
  • Assessment of tube-feeding progress to more independent means of nutrition intake
  • Assessment and compensatory strategies for altered mental status and memory deficits
  • Hearing screening and speech evaluation

Occupational Therapy

  •  Assessment of ability to function optimally in daily routine and environment
