Encore Communities has four locations, each offering a full range of retirement living options, health care services, and a continuum of care programs. Just A Monthly Payment

At Encore Communities there are no large down payments or buy-in charges. You simply pay a monthly fee that includes basic utilities, housekeeping, maintenance, grounds keeping, gourmet meals and other great Encore amenities at our assisted living centers and retirement cottages. Additional nursing costs are determined by a personal health care assessment, per level of resident care needs.

Entrance Requirements

Becoming a resident of an Encore retirement and assisted living community is easy. Our trained, caring staff will guide you through the process and gladly answer your questions. Family members are welcome to participate and there are Social Service Professionals who are also available to offer special assistance. The process involves the following steps:

Getting Started: Reviewing Your Needs & Preferences

It is important that each potential resident receive a personal and private interview. This step helps us determine what type of living options and services you require and match them to the services we offer.

Physician's Report

We require your physician to complete a medical report regarding the status of your current health for our assisted living options. We are happy to coordinate the process with your doctor to ensure a smooth transition in meeting your individual health care needs.

Financial Assessment

We will confidentially discuss with you the financial aspects of becoming a resident of Encore Communities. Rates are established on a month-to-month basis and vary depending on location, apartment style, and level of personal and health care services required.

Independent Living Services

Designed for retirees who are active, self-sufficient and on the go. Spend your time enjoying the good life and leave the cooking, cleaning and repairs to Encore! Independent living services are offered at Country Meadows in Silverdale and Alpine Way in Shelton.

Assisted Living Services

Assisted living for retirees who want the opportunity to enjoy an active lifestyle, but may need personal and health care assistance. Assisted living services are offered at Alpine Way in Shelton and Clearbook Inn in Silverdale.

GentleCare(TM) for Alzheimer's and Dementia

This innovative program is offered at Alpine Way in Shelton which has an area especially designed and built to meet the needs of individuals with Alzheimer's Disease and other dementias. Our trained, thoughtful staff uses the unique GentleCare(TM) program. Residents are supervised by licensed, professional staff who ensure they are treated with the highest level of compassion, respect and dignity. We encourage you to arrange a tour and meeting with the Director of Nursing Services who will be glad to answer your questions and discuss your options and needs. 24-Hour Skilled Nursing Services

Encore Communities offers a wide range of 24-hour nursing services, from short-term skilled and sub-acute nursing care at Northwoods Lodge, to assisted care at Clearbrook Inn and Alpine Way. For more information please contact the Community Relations Director.

24-hour nursing care, recovery, respite care and special short-stay apartment units are included as options at Alpine Way in Shelton and Clearbook Inn in Silverdale. Comprehensive sub-acute care, rehabilitation, and more intensive medical procedures and services are provided at Northwoods Lodge in Silverdale.
