I want to take this opportunity to tell you how much I appreciated the excellent care your staff gave my father during his five year stay at Alpine Way. Every nurse, aide, and caregiver was professional, skilled, and above all very caring. I especially appreciate your proactive care—if they saw anything that had changed or might be wrong, they would immediately call a doctor or whatever it took to address the issue. I never worried about his care.   Jane Sayt

Thank you for everything you did for my mother. It was hard for her to accept help but you made it as easy for her as could be. You have my utmost respect.  Tami St.Cyr

The hardest part was leaving the home I had lived in for over 40 years.  There was a moment during the move when I had to remove the pictures of my wife on the wall of our home and I just sat down and cried.  I was angry that I should have to move, but the move was necessary because I wasn’t eating or taking my medication.  When I walked into Claremont, it just had a feeling, a warm feeling. I knew it was the right place.  Bob Crawford

I did everything I could do to stay at home.  I resisted because I didn’t want to lose my independence.  My son and daughter helped me a lot during the move.  For me, getting out and doing things helped me to adjust.  I’m never in my apartment.  There are definitely benefits with 3 meals a day.  Also, I have the companionship of a wonderful woman that has truly changed my life.  Bruce Clifford

Thank you for helping me keep things straight.  It’s hard to remember things when you’re in your 90’s.  I hope when you are in your 90’s you’ll have someone just as nice to help you.  Thanks so much.  Evelyn Gorman

I moved here because my husband was at Northwoods Lodge and I needed assisted care due to my health.  It is a nice place to live, pleasant and I have lots of room.  Cynthia Johnsen

Though I have lived at Country Meadows just 8 short months, it is definitely the home I was hoping to find. My fellow residents are friendly, helpful, and fun – and we all look forward to seeing one another at the dinner hour. This is the hour when Sarah and David, our chefs, wield their magic to bring us food that is 5-star – bar none! The staff is extremely congenial, helpful, compassionate and available. The amenities here are a large drawing card.  They are always on-going special programs, trips, and celebrations to choose from. Not a day goes by that I don’t thank my lucky stars to be living at Country Meadows.

Having lived in two retirement residences before settling here 4 years ago, I am freely and willingly testifying to the unique quality of independent living offered at Country Meadows. The quiet rural setting is enhanced by the attractive cottages set in a manicured garden surrounding. Life here goes on at a leisurely pace with a minimum of resting time and a maximum of activities offered. The amount of easy walking for exercise to luxuriating in a heated indoor pool, the use of exercise machines, planting and maintaining individual garden planters, participating in planned excursions for picnics, lunch out, music festivals, card games, book club, games to exercise the mind, arts & crafts just to name a few. All this is managed by a pleasant & efficient staff of activity directors, kitchen & dining room staff, housekeepers. Barbara Smart

I couldn't have found a better place than Northwoods to stay for my six weeks of recovery.  Some of the aides who took care of me were so special that they would think of what I needed done before I did!  The nurses were prompt and caring.  Occupational and physical therapists were fun to be with and made the work seem easier.  My room was pleasant and the whole facility was very clean.  Elsie E. Cooper

Wow, how can I describe Northwoods Lodge?  It is located in a natural wooded setting and is an easy access from freeways.  It has lovely appointments in rooms and hallways in keeping with the name.  But more important – there is an excellent, caring staff who respond with loving and personal attention and recognize special needs.  Physical and occupational therapists understand one’s needs and produce incredible results with the care they provide.  Clean, clean, clean (no odors!).  The hard working housekeeping staff do these tasks with a smile.  The food is good!  They cater, not only with healthy personal diets, but also, to the preferences of individuals.  All is served hot/cold in an attractive way.  The owners and administration are attentive to keeping an excellent facility.  I have been here for six weeks and even though I am happy to be going home soon, I will miss all these wonderful people.  My husband and I have been impressed on all counts!  Corrine Spitzer

I use Northwoods Lodge as my exclusive skilled nursing facility because I am confident that my patients will be treated in the most caring and efficient manner possible. I know that their standard of nursing care and ancillary services are unsurpassed. My patients agree with me.
Dr. Ian Becke, Internal Medicine Specialist

I am always pleased when my patients choose Northwoods Lodge. I know they and their families will receive the best care possible and have the best outcomes.
Dr. Kate Brostoff, Geriatrician,
Medical Director, Northwoods Lodge

Northwoods Lodge is always my first choice for the rehabilitation of my post-operative patients who require it. Although other facilities are geographically closer, my patient’s rave about the facility and care they receive there. Northwoods Lodge is the best of the breed.
Dr. Reis, Orthopedic Surgeon of Port Townsend
